Colonnade Inn: Prime Hotel In Sea Isle City

Sea Isle City visitors often stay in rental homes during their vacation. While the idea of having your very own private place to stay in appeals to some, there are still vacationers who still would rather stay in hotels or motels.

One of the reasons why vacationers opt to stay in hotels and motels is that most rental homes require a minimum of one week stay. Hotels, on the other hand, require only 3 days during the peak season, and one night in off peak seasons. Another reason why people opt for hotels is the kind of service they get. Rarely, if ever, will you find serviced rental homes, while most hotels offer at least cleaning services.

Sea Isle City, being a small town, however, has few hotels to choose from. One hotel that stands out from others is the Colonnade Inn. At Colonnade Inn, Sea Isle City, you not only get the benefits of room service and shorter stay requirements that hotels at the area offer, but do so while staying in a genuine Victorian-style summer hotel. While it is not a beachfront hotel, the beach is still very much accessible being just a block away so that you can always stroll along the beach anytime you wish to. Those looking for the privacy that rental homes offer but want full service along with it, should also consider this full service hotel since its 3-bedroom suites are large enough to make you feel like you are inside a house.

Who are the People In Your Neighborhood?

25.jpg

What is a Neighborhood

Neighborhoods firstly, concern an area. Second, it concerns the people living there. In order to maintain a neighborhood, these two factors must be taken intro consideration. A neighborhood is primarily a reference point, an area referring to a collection of residences.

The Neighborhood and Society

Since time immemorial, man has had to live in harmony with other men. In more contemporary times, because of the housing developments as well as changes in society itself, we term a collective area where people reside as a neighborhood. And according to the kind of neighborhood one lives in greatly influences his development as an individual.

On Residential/ Housing Developments

More and more housing development plans are coming into business. Land development has made it possible for more people to purchase their very own homes in much better places than in the congested city. With such developments, more is expected of the kinds of neighborhoods which one is exposed to.

Great Ideas : The Rice Cooker

24.jpg

Ok, so you’ve found yourself a nice little condo unit. What next? Buy a rice cooker and do a “MacGyver“.

Yes. A rice cooker. Apart from the fact that buying pre-cooked rice is a lot more expensive, a rice cooker can actually serve as a pretty nifty frying pan. As odd as it may sound, you can actually prepare yourself a nifty little bacon and eggs breakfast using only a rice cooker.

Here’s how. First, prepare the rice as you normally would. Once that’s done, the fun part. Put a little bit of oil in the rice cooker and wait for it heat up a little. Throw in the bacon and proceed as though it were a regular frying pan. Then, fry an egg as you normally would with a regular frying pan. Removing the egg can be a bit tricky at first but with a little practice, it will eventually become easier.

Presto! Bacon and eggs using nothing but a rice cooker. Not only do you get to save on the gas bill but you get to impress a date that happens to come over for breakfast (yes, I get that sometimes).

Kitchen Essentials

23.jpg

As the title implies, here are some essentials for the kitchen when living alone in a condo.

  • Water – Indispensable. After three days without water, the average human being runs the risk of death by dehydration. Also, water makes for a great way to fool your body into thinking that it is full while you go out and get something to eat. Furthermore, without water in the condo, there would be no coffee.
  • Beer – After a long hard day, popping open a bottle (or can) of beer is one of the most rewarding things one can do. For the women out there, it supposedly helps with the little monthly visitor one gets. Also, when friends come over, it’s always nice to serve a beer or two.
  • Coffee – People that live in condos are usually on the go. First thing in the morning, coffee makes for a great companion to breakfast or in some cases, a substitute for breakfast.
  • Canned Food – Convenient, delicious, long shelf life. What more can a person living in a condo ask for? The Drawback: it’s unhealthy.
  • Rice and/or bread – Goes well with most canned food.
  • An apple – Yes, Folks… Believe me, an apple is a good thing to have in your kitchen. Apple is the best fruit to have, An Apple a forbidden fruit. Comfort food for when one feels guilty about unhealthy eating habits.
  •  A Banana – Like the apple situation, a banana can be useful too… So If ever you have problems with your Internet Connection or if Wi-Fi’s Sucky… feed your router or your laptop with a banana. Also good for your health, bananas contain loads of potassium which is good for the body.

Shelf Solutions and Relaxation Too

Chair Library

Chair Library

The Chair Library is just but perfect for book aficionados. As a way of organization, one can easily (and happily) load all his favorite books to this chair and it would be an easy reach every time he decides to relax and catch up with his reading. Big and bulky hardbounds such as Encyclopedias and the like may all take the shelf space on the walls but the most wanted reading collectibles have the privilege to “sit” with their collector. Photo albums and well-loved scrapbooks may also join this (honorary) chair-turned-shelf.

Thut Mobel

Thut Mobel

Initially a side table, the Thut Mobel is a remarkable option for a shelf. It can expand higher, may you need for shelf space, but can also collapse if you have rid yourself of some stuff and have free space. Interestingly, it can also be an expanding bed frame; just top it with a mattress that matches its width.

Lincoln Park Housing Option for DePaul University

3.JPG

DePaul University acquired a five-story historic building in 1989 and started using it to accommodate students. There were air-conditioned studio type, one-bedroom apartment, two, and three-bedroom apartments. The floor plan is different all over the building. The student’s entrance is the Sanctuary Hall all the way to a gated entrance located along Kenmore Ave. All the apartments in the Sanctuary Hall have a full kitchen, with a private bathroom and a dishwasher. The lounge area located in the lobby of the second floor is common and there is a study area situated in the first floor. A laundry roo can be found in the basement.

Safe Bedside Table
Safe Bedside Table

In London, it has been reported that fifty percent of citizens are worried about night-time security, particularly during sleeping time. Thus, a need for at-hand self-defense became indispensable.
The Safe Bedside Table converts from such to a duo of club and shield. At any bedtime threat, one will feel ready to combat any nocturnal intruder that shall attempt to go beyond lurking by the bushes.

Beating the conventional folding bed, Ali can be converted into a long sofa, a pair of love seats, or a bed. Of course, storage is not a problem as it folds upright and can be rolled anywhere to adjust space. No need to cram this inside a closet.
